About Atomship

AtomshipDown (formerly known as Atomship) is/was a three-piece rock band, composed of drummer, guitarist, and vocalist–bassist Chad Kent, Nathan Slade, and Derek Pardoe. Current Papercut Massacre vocalist Joey Culver was the second vocalist of Atomship, with Derek being the first. The band was known as Watership Down in 2002, before changing their name to Atomship, which ran until 2004, shortly after the band released their debut album, The Crash of '47. Joey Culver replaced Derek Pardoe on the Crash of '47, because Pardoe was not able to record with the band to due to personal issues. However, guitarist Nathan Slade, drummer Chad Kent and touring bassist Roy Williams had a falling-out with Joey Culver over irreconcilable differences. Slade and Kent were soon released from the very same band they had begun a few years earlier, leaving the band to then disband. In 2006, Atomship reformed as AtomshipDown.
